From 30 Million to the Future: Changan Hosts Global Partner Conference 2026

Chongqing, China, January 5, 2026 — Changan Automobile hosted the Global Partner Conference 2026 under the theme "30 Million United, One Future Together," bringing together global partners to celebrate key development milestones and outline the company's next phase of growth.

In December, the company's 30 millionth vehicle rolled off the production line. The first 10 million vehicles took 30 years to reach; the second milestone followed in seven years, while the third was achieved in just four and a half years. This accelerating trajectory reflects Changan Automobile's sustained efforts in advancing quality, efficiency, and powertrain transformation, supported by long-term collaboration and shared progress with its global partners.

Performance and Scale, Built on 30 Million Users' Trust

Thirty million vehicles represent a defining milestone in Changan Automobile's 44-year manufacturing journey, validated by sustained market presence and real-world user adoption, as well as the trust of 30 million satisfied users globally.

Zhao Fei, President of Changan Automobile, emphasized at the conference that over the past five years, through close collaboration with partners worldwide, the company has effectively navigated multiple challenges, demonstrating strong resilience and momentum while maintaining steady progress toward higher-quality growth.

This collaboration is also reflected in the company's operating performance. Over the past five years, Changan's global ranking improved from 14th to 13th. Over the same period, the compound annual growth rates reached 7.8 percent for total vehicle sales.

In 2025, Changan Automobile recorded total vehicle sales of 2.913 million units, representing a year-on-year increase of 8.5 percent. Overseas sales reached 0.637 million units, up 18.9 percent year on year. New energy vehicle (NEV) sales surpassed the one-million-unit mark, reaching 1.109 million units, an increase of 51 percent compared with the previous year, reflecting explosive growth in next-generation powertrains.

From 63 markets in 2020, the company's sales footprint has expanded to 117 markets worldwide, with its overseas portfolio growing from 17 models to a total of 41 products - establishing a globally diverse product lineup that addresses varied market preferences and regulatory requirements.

At the same time, product deployment in overseas markets has accelerated. In 2025, the company introduced six new models across its five major regions, including the fourth-generation CHANGAN CS75 PLUS and CS55 PLUS, CHANGAN DEEPAL S05, CHANGAN DEEPAL G318, AVATR 11, and AVATR 12. The entry of DEEPAL S07 and S05 into key European markets marks another milestone, highlighting Changan's expansion with advanced new energy vehicles.

Safety and Experience—Powered by SDA Intelligence

Changan continues to prioritize technological advancement with a strong focus on user safety. Safety is positioned as a baseline and is addressed as a system across product development and application. Guided by this approach, the company introduced the "SDA Intelligence" brand, defining three core digital-intelligence technology pillars: SDA Pilot, SDA Cockpit, and SDA Chassis.

This holistic safety ecosystem is no longer defined solely by physical protection, but extends across driving performance, health, psychological well-being, and data privacy - establishing a global standard for what automotive safety means in the intelligent vehicle era.

Improvements in user experience are increasingly reflected in independent industry assessments. According to J.D. Power studies, Changan ranked sixth among mainstream brands in the 2025 Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI), surpassing the industry average and improving by 21 positions compared with 2020. In the Customer Service Index (CSI), Changan ranked seventh among mainstream brands, representing an improvement of eight positions from 2020. These rankings validate Changan's customer-centric product development and service excellence.

Long-term commitment underpins sustained trust. Looking ahead, Changan Automobile plans to invest more than 5 percent annually in research and development over the next five years. The company plans to introduce more than 10,000 core technical professionals and over 400 leading industry experts across key areas including AI, software, electric powertrains, and design, while delivering more than 160 technology outcomes spanning intelligent driving, AI cockpits, and next-generation battery systems.

The Next Chapter: Strategic Vision and 2026 Priorities

Building on the 30 million-vehicle milestone, Changan marks a new stage of development. At the conference, Changan set out its full-year targets for 2026 to its global partners, including total vehicle sales of 3.3 million units, NEV sales of 1.4 million units, and overseas sales of 0.75 million units.

Looking further ahead, the company targets to reach a milestone of approximately 40 million cumulative vehicle sales by 2028. By 2030, Changan aims to achieve annual production and sales of more than five million vehicles and secure a place among the world's top ten automotive brands, with NEVs accounting for more than 60 percent of total sales and overseas markets contributing more than 35 percent. These objectives underscore the company's acceleration toward transformation into an intelligent low-carbon mobility technology company and its ambition to build a world-class automotive brand.

Guided by this long-term objective, Changan continues to advance its three strategic initiatives—the Green Plan for new energy, the Intelligent Plan for autonomous and connected mobility, and the Vast Ocean Plan for globalization.
